About MATSC

The Mission of the Miramar Amgen Teacher Support Program is to increase science literacy through San Diego County through the implementation of the Amgen Bruce Wallace Laboratory Program. This program is to enhance science literacy and career technical education throughout the state. We believe that this model program and the Life Sciences Summer Institute can serve as a model disseminated and supported throughout the state of California.

We are fortunate to have funding for this effort from the California Community College Chancellors office Career Technical Education (CTE) Initiative. Miramar College and the Southern California Biotechnology Center @ Miramar College is pleased to be the host of a hub in the Applied Biotechnologies Initiative that will help implement and disseminate best practices in CTE education.

To access materials on the support page please create log-in information. Logging in will allow us to track usage, a requirement of our ongoing grant funding. Additionally we will be able to contact you as new trainings and protocols become available.
